Full Moon Pictures/Shadow Entertainment needs to get around to making "Subspecies 5" already! Its been too long since 4 came out. Its time to bring us more of the continueing story of Radu and Michelle. Maybe even bring back Karl since we don't know whatever happen to him, to my knowledge. And possibly bring back Stefan, if Ted Nicolaou can think of a good way to do it. Probably Ash and Serena too. But Ted Nicolaou seriously needs to write, direct, and start making the next Subspecies movie real soon!!

Oh, i know! i really hope that they get around to doing it soon. I've been waiting so long for it! i read somewhere that they were going to be doing it in 2005, but it was probably just a rumour, but it would be really great if it were true. I'm sure they'll get to it... some day :(

Hello I remember reading an interview with Denice Duff how they were trying to purchase the rights to the characters of both Subspecies and VJ universes from Charles Band so they could make more movies, esp a subspecies prequel on the origin of Radu. But after that interview, I have heard nothing else.

I think Full Moon went bust, and Charles Band is also in a lot of debt for some reason, hence not much is made of late. Which is a shame, subspecies and Vampire Journals are some of the best vampire movies around! and I even went o bucharest just to find the sets from the films and walked where the characters walked. Full Moon (now known as Wizard Entertainment) is releasing a new selection of films this year, DOLL GRAVEYARD will be out around Halloween.

I remember hearing before about selling the rights to a Subspecies 5, but I don't see any reason too. It would be very simple to start production of another Subspecies film, I guess the only expensive thing to do would to cast Denice Duff and Anders Hove. To be honest, it's not like they really need Ted Nicolaou, he's just a fan favorite for the season, and CB realizes that.

I wonder the fact if CB will sell off the rights to the idea of SUBSPECIES 5, but still hold all rights to further sequels and merchandise. Just as they did with PUPPET MASTER VS. DEMONIC TOYS.

The original `Video Zone` for subspecies 4: bloodstorm actually had interviews with both Denice Duff and Ted Nicolaou talking about a strong possibility for Subspecies 5, which would feature both Denice and Anders Hove (ofcourse). It has been nearly nine years since those interviews took place , surely Nicolaou has the script or basis for the long awaited installment. I actually got to meet Charles Band on his Full Moon Roadshow 2006 tour, I dont think he is in debt, but since Full Moon was a direct to video organization, the cost of producing DVD in place of VHS has to have taken its toll on his business. Subspecies is the greatest movie series ever, and i told that to Charles Band when I shook his hand.
