Problem w/ Bringing Subspecies 4 to HD

According to the commentary by Ted Nicolaou and Charles Band on Vampire Journals, there is a problem w/ bringing Subspecies 4 to HD.

Band explained that there was a time at Full Moon where everything was shot on film and edited on video. They don't have a cut negative of the film. Band does have the canisters and said, "God knows how long it would take to work at it. Part 4 has no work print, it's all cut on tape."

Band and Nicolaou mentioned that they really want to do it and said there has to be a way.

Charlie still talks about it, but don't take that as a guarantee it'll be done anytime soon. I've been waiting for DUNGEONMASTER II, which apparently is still under going a long overdue post-production job, but Charlie hasn't commented on it in over a year.

Course we'll probably see SUBSPECIES 4 in HD before production of a SUBSPECIES 5 is underway.
