I swear that Mark and Mike are Jay and Silent Bob!

I realize that this is not possible since Clerks came out in 1994. However, am I the only one who sees the similarities?

I can kind of see what you mean, yeah. But they (Mark and Mike) made me think more of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza.

I think they were real, there may have been set-up scenes but I don't think that alters them in any way.

As soon as I saw it, within the first 10 minutes I was screaming at my wife that they were pretty much Jay & Silent Bob. The similarities are frightening.
Also, the whole making an independent film thing is he flip side to what happened to Kevin Smith. Kevin got his break and Mike didn't.

Somewhat. Their dynamic is a bit similar, but completely different characters.
