And all because of Leguizamo. He singlehandedly destroyed this movie. The script and performances where great with this one exception - the Genie's absolutely misplaced comments which cheapened the whole thing. And why was Alladin a Chinese man ? I couldn't wait for the segment to end.

I would have given the movie an 8, or a 9 perhaps, if they had not insisted on making the Genie such an awful character.
