Funniest bits? (spoilers)

Caught bits of it on HDNET and was surprised that I was finding it funny! Have to say, thats some great casting too. My favorite bit - the argument they get into after the pregnancy test comes up negative and Benning says something like "..I might just buy a baby and stick it up your ass!!!" - that was just great delivery, and the look on Shandling's face right then ..priceless.

(l.o.l.) that bening line you quoted is one of the funnier ones in the film. i know i burst out laughing when she says it. i've seen this film only twice, and i'd forgotten about that line 'til i saw it the 2nd time...won't forget it again. :-)

after he hits greg kinnear and is explaining to annette benning what happened, he cries and says *beep* I'm bleeding." i burst out laughing

oh come on... the scene in the bar where shandling confesses to a drunk lady that he's an alien is brilliant.

i really like the film... was quite surprised to see it only has a 5.4 rating... should be at least a 6.5 imo.

When Goodman is explaining his alien theory to his colleagues, one of the guys says, "Do you hear what your saying? Do you have any awareness of what your saying?" His delivery is hysterical!

John Goodman is so funny in this!!

He looks at the Ben Kingsley's body in the fountain, looks at Garry Shandling and says: "Can I have him? I need to show him to my wife" ... or something like that. Soooo funny. haha!

I haven't seen this movie in a very long time. I still remember the part at the end where Graydon gets shot and dies. I remember laughing so hard at that part.

The end scene at the fountain is by far the funniest, IMO. Where John Goodman asks, "Can I have him?" and the smile on his face is just amazing.

Also, when he turns around and says, "Just to be clear, this really was the leader of your planet, right? 'Cause if it's your insurance agent or something, I'm in some amazingly deep *beep* His delivery was just perfect!

Agreed. The scene at the fountain was hilarious. Especially when John Goodman shoots Graydon, and Shandling matter-of-factly states "I always thought that 'heal any injury' thing was bullsh!t"

There was a lot of funny scenes to mention but the one that stands out to me the best is the bar scene. It was involving in some proctologist or some sort of crap, I don't remember what it wass exactly but that was so HILARIOUS. Anderson was like, "We came here from a trillion miles away to study some guy's a-hole." I was dying! It has got to be Handlings best movie.

When John Goodman's wife approached him with the naked picture of Shandling - "I found this under your winter pants! Why did you hide this under your winter pants?!" Cracked me up!!

i like the line harold anderson gives to helen gordon at the bar about the passed out drunk lady next to him: "she's my shopper. the problem is she only seems able to buy booze".

When I think of this film, I think of his conversation with women training
