different song question!

Jill, I hope you saw my post about the version of "Preciso Dizer Que Te Amo" you like being on the Chill Brazil, Vol. 3 compilation. The song has been covered by several artists, but the one used in Bossa Nova is sung by Leo Jaime.

Now, I have a question about a song that Amy Irving did, but it was cut from the movie. They talk about it and show a clip in the DVD extras. It's a scene where Acacio is on the plane to London and fantasizing about "Mary Ann" doing a musical/samba number with backup dancers in soccor uniforms. Amy Irving apparently worked really hard learning the (portuguese) lyrics and taking samba lessons for this scene. Does anyone know the name of the song? It's a shame it wasn't used in the final cut...

Thank you sssooo much for your help with my song question.

To return the favor i think i can help you with yours. Amy Irving sings a version of the song "Lai Ladaia". There are a few versions of this, but my favorite is the one by Sergio Mendes. I hope you can find it and like it too.

"Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?"
