Funny name.

I was thinking about the Aerosmith album named "Night in the ruts" and I wondered if this "Metallica: Cunning Stunts" title was build in the same perverted way... I'm not telling you more on that but lets see if someone else notice that too and can explain the trick(in decent words please).

I was thinking the same thing. They probably made that the title thinking that people would change some of the letters around from the title and it would read something else. You don't have to be a genius to figure out what that would be.

when my brother told me about the new metallica video (seven years ago, my god...) i thought he said "cutting stunts"

I read your e-mail.

reply

it's called cunning stunts because at the end when the stage collapses and the guy's on fire etc etc, it was all fake and a big stunt.
therefore it was a cunning stunt that was stunning you cun...yeah you get it.

Just for your information, Cunning Stunts was also the name of an album from the 70's. I forget exactly what group/artist it was, but what comes to mind is either Robert Palmer, or a band called Caravan. I could be wrong about the artist, but I know it was definitely an album from the 70's.

this phrase is in a really old joke:
'what's the difference between a circus and a brothel?'
'a circus features cunning stunts and a brothel has stunning .....!'

It's kind of funny that no one figured it out until know...geez, just switch around the c and the st.

Pretty intuitive, really. It's obvious the moment you hear it. They tend to do stuff like that, like S&M (SF Symphony & Metalica).

And BTW, never dispute the fact that the universe wants Dr. Tobias Fünke to be an actor.

It's called a spoonerism, and I think some people might have noticed it before....
