Sniper Wolf's death

The best scene I have ever seen in a computer game!

Everything about it is perfect ie: Voice acting, the dialogue, the music and my favourite part...where she says "Everyone is hear now" and you get the wolves howling in the background.

Amazing scene for an amazing game, no game will ever compare to this. Pure genius from the legend Hideo Kojima.

I absolutely agree with you, that scene is one of the most beautiful ones ever made for a video game...and one of the only scenes that's ever made me cry. The dialogue is very well written, and the music ('Enclosure') is so incredibly fitting. It's beside the Psycho Mantis fight and Aeris's death amongst my most memorable video game moments.

Wolf to this day keeps a place of one of my favorite bosses from a game. From the impossible love held in Otacon to the music and wilingness to accept her fate keeps her heights above Liquid. The dialogue is so well written and finally brings up the question that goes unanswered until Sons of Liberty, "What are you fighting for?" I was so happy that her influence was felt even in MGS4 that I nearly cried remembering her death.
Sniper Wolf, gone but not forgotten.

Everything I wanted to say has already been said. Sniper Wolf, probably he most beautiful game cutscene next to a certain one at the end of CD 1-FFVII.

"Snake!!! What was she fighting for? What am I fighting for? What are you fighting for?"

"If we make it through this I'll tell you."

"Okay. I'll be searching too."

I love that moment. The voice acting was great. It just gives me chills. The music didn't hurt either.

the thing with mgs 1 that made it so good is that every character felt alive. In snake eater/sons of liberty/mgs 4 all of the bosses were only their to be killed and were also badly written.

The Boss was the best character they made after MGS. She was a brilliant character.

Otacon's weak 'Okay' was pretty funny.

But, the whole scene was epic and sad.

RIP: Simen Hestnaes' credibility.

reply

Yeah, The Boss' cut scenes at the end were epic as well. But Sniper's is still the best. I haven't played the game in years (let someone borrow it and never got it back) but after reading some of these messages it's all coming back loud and clear to me.

reply

I love that it was BIg Boss that came and took her away as well, just epic.

Wow i remember all that how could i have forgotten that n i remember wen she was talking about the battlefield n how her family n friends had died more and more each day that was too much n yea made me cry...not like otocon though but yea a lot changed in that snow field and made me love the game even more but the bosses in the later sequels merely played their part which was to die n have a *beep* up background lol
