My thoughts on this movie

It's got gorgeous colors and striking cinematography. I liked the used of soft muted colors. It reminded me of the cinematography and the use of color in the movie Three Colors: Blue.

The costumes are really lovely. They gave an idea of what the everyday clothing styles in the very early 1920s were like.

The lead actress, Keeley Hawes, looked very much like Rooney Mara in the movie Carol. Similar hairstyle and facial features.

However, I couldn't figure out what is this movie was all about. The story was so disjointed. It felt like it was several different plots packed into one movie.
