DVD?

I don't suppose anyone out there would know where I could purchase this movie from? Amazon doesn't have it listed and I'd very much like to see it. If anyone knows anything about a region 1 DVD, please let us know.

I've been looking around for quite a while for a DVD, but I haven't been able to find one with english subtitles. I once found some subtitles for a DivX rip, and I'll see if I can find them again. If you have the knowledge, then you can buy the DVD, rip the movie without subtitles and then watch it with the english subtitles.

Sincerely

Who needs subtitles when spoken in English?? The fact that it is spoken in English fills me with awe.. It just has to be Danish for the Atmosphere of the movie..

Well.. I do have the advantage of being able to read Dutch.. but still.. resynchronizing a movie in another language is such a German action..

reply

I totally agree with you. Resynchronizing kan ruin a movie, even when it's a good one. I hate it. But this movie is a good one, I liked it!

"Germans do that all the time"

Probably because only a few percent of Germans are able to understand English? Or Dansk?

Maybe cause Germany is a great Market, right after USA and UK???

Well, I'd say so, but who cares...

Region 1 (US) DVD will be released 19 April 2005. Check Amazon.com

Thankfully it's been released with English subtitles in R1. I was a bit worried since the recent release of Nirvana was dub-only, which was disappointing since that means the only version of THAT movie with English subs (and original Italian dialogue) is the Italian release, which is rather ironic.

Still a little annoying that it's sub-only. With a pre-existing dub-track it shouldn't have been too much trouble to get hold of that to open this movie to a wider audience. They're still getting my money though.

reply

Maybe I'm just a bit slow, but what the hell are you talking about? Original Italian version of WHAT?

reply

I Kina Spiser De Hunde was shot in Danish, and thankfully got released subbed. I was referring to the release of Italian movie Nirvana (dubbed) not long before I Kina's release. A reminder of how lucky I Kina fans are.

Audiodubbing is the ultimate shauvinism.

Learn to read subtitles and enjoy the movie as the director intended.
