I saw this film at the Incredible Film Festival here in Auckland, New Zealand several years ago. I remember hearing something at the time about either an american or british remake being filmed. Does anyone know anything about this?

A DUTCH remake? Groan! The Danish sense of humour is too subtle for the Dutch film industry. Guaranteed to be a waste of celluloid.
It should be noted that I'm a big fan of the I Kina series, and Danish cinema in general, so - you know, I'm starting out thinking that it's heresy to remake a classic like this.

Actually that's a remake of the sequel to IKSDH (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0246692/) and it's quite bad.
Always ask yourself :"What would Neil Patrick Harris do ?"
