Can someone clarify some things for me:

1. Why was this film banned in the U.K.? The murder scenes were not explicit and were funny more than anything and there was more nudity in Porky's.

2. I am not sure what it's like in the Pacific Northwest but it seemed to be raining and lighning each night they were there. I can see the first night when they got into the accident but enough is enough.

3. I know they were only going to a jazz festival but it seems the blonde girl Terry had packed more clothes than Lovey and Thurston Howell III did when they got shipwrecked on Gilligan's Island. She had a different outfit each time I saw her and I can't imagine Marion loaned her any clothes based on her wardrobe.

In answer to your questions:

1. I'm not from the UK so I can't answer this question. I guess people were a little more uptight back then.

2. It's a typical horror movie and there are ferocious storms in pretty much every one of these movies. It's become a cliche.

3. Terry is a typical girl. You'll find that most girls overpack for short trips.

I live in the city where this movie was filmed (the lovely Portland, Oregon), and we don't get a whole lot of storms like that. Thunder and lightning is pretty rare, especially the kind we see in this movie; we just get A LOT of rain throughout the fall, winter, and spring months, and sometimes very cold winters (we had the biggest snowstorm in about 60 years here last Christmas, 4-5 feet and in the teens-twenties for two and a half weeks), but it's rare.

Regardless of Unhinged's content, the whole "Video nasty" thing was so absurd at times, many films were targeted simply because of the video cover or even just the title in some cases!
