What was the Rating?

This sounds funny, but I wonder what the show was rated (TV-G, TV-Y7, TV-PG, TV-14, TV-MA)? I'm a HUGE fan of Tenacious D's, and judging be how much they swear in their songs, my guess is that they swear a lot in their episodes to. I just wanted to know. I have a feeling they were TV-MA because they aired on HBO, but I'm not sure. Oh, by the way, what was your favorite episode of theirs?

It's TV-MA, Mikey. I was introduced to the D 2 or 3 years ago, and I just loved them. So do a lot of my friends, my film class had this little Tenacious D cult following. One of my friends has a crap-load of bootleg songs on his Mac. I think my fav episode would have to be either Sasquatch, Lee, or the one where JB and KG have a karate fight.

John C. Reilly was Sasquatch?! The guy from Chicago? I just saw "School of Rock" and Jack is friggin' awesome. Enlighten me , who is Troy Miller?

Unfortunately I haven't seen any Mr. Show. I heard its good, though. Which D episodes did he direct? Fortunately I did not see Dumb and Dumberer.

Rated 15 in the UK.

I know that Jack Black played the devil in the musical version of the farmer's daughter joke...any more? I'm not sure, but I'd love to know.

If anyone has not checked out Mr. Show, they should. It is one of the best, and most random, sketch shows ever. The characters are wacky, but a lot of times believable. Anyway, Jack Black played several characters on Mr. Show, one of my favorites being Jeepers Creepers Semi-Star. "Nooooo, I was on the eighteenth hole!!!" Also, he played one of the experts from the "Expert Lounge." And, I must not leave out the gay personality that is in everyone's mind, in the sketch with the fighting personalities. I am sure I am leaving out some other characters. These are just a few of JB highlights on Mr. Show. Also, you must check out the spoof of the older children's puppet shows. I have never seen a better use of drug culture in an appropriate surrounding. "As the mayor of The Altered State of Druggachusettes, I declare this pizza to be awesome." As if you couldn't guess already, I think Mr. Show and Tenacious D are "classicly trained to rock your *beep* socks off," and "a bunch of slackers slackin off, slack slackety slack slack."
