Apples and Oranges but they're both great movies imo.

Trainspotting is much more social and light hearted and positive in many parts. You grow to love a lot of the characters.

Requiem was much more creepy and traumatizing with the totally depressing depiction of parallel downward spirals. Very spooky...but then again there's not a dead baby scene with junkie mom shooting up directly after scene lol
