The End

The ending I felt represented their "rock bottom." For the most part, it was given the impression that their life was ruined permanently. They weren't dead- and it was never technically made clear as to Sara's conclusion aside from some atypical symptoms. Perhaps it's just me making the movie easier to watch (not to say I disliked the movie, I'm a big fan), but I think the ending was more for shock value, as none of their lives were technically over. What do you guys think?

They might recover physically, but the emotional wounds might never heal. Every time Harry struggles to do something with only one arm, he'll remember his poor choices. When Marion finally figures out how low she has sunk, she'll feel like a worthless piece of crap. It would be a miracle if they were able to bounce back.
