Am I the only one who think Madeline felt more atratcted to the Marquis

Maybe you will think I'm crazy but I think that Madeline felt more atratcted to the marquis than the Abbé.

She liked the abbé because he took care of her Everytime she was in danger and looked for her sake but I felt like she liked more being with the Marquis.




Spoilres which prove my theory

Of course she told the Abbé that she didn't want to leave the Ayslum because she loved him ( theAbbe) but I thought she just said this to protect the Marquis becaus The doctor was after the Marquis and the Abbé being so jealous of Madeline's relationship with him was suporting the doctor.


So she kissed him and told the Abbé she was in love with him to calm the abbé down and both ( the doctor and abbe) would stop their persecution against the Marquis.
