Reason this movie flopped ?

I've been thinking of this movie lately for that very same reason.

Get real. This movie came out in 2002. You're probably too young to remember, but the current sustained campaign of opprobrium against MRC had not yet been manufactured, the face on the dollar bill was more to do with the fact that a woman had attained such a status. The USA is very backwards when it comes to women politicians and that was probably the only woman in politics many Americans had even heard of.
