Missed opportunity

The description of this movie says it's about a man's man hiding the fact that he's a romance novelist from his friends. However, the friends find out about it while Jack is out of town. Their reaction to the news is played as if it's no big deal.

It had an opportunity to hit some chuckles if it had played more with the couple trying to maneuver around their friend and then went into the situation with the tv interviews, etc.

It just had no sizzle or light-hearted bubbles and no real FUN that I like to see in a rom-com.
