Who was..

Who was the woman who was Cosette in "One Day More?" I don't know who she is and it's really bothering me!

I loved the One Day More scene... spectacular!

Ruthie was great in "Dreamed a Dream" but I like her better in the Tenth Anniversary Concert of Les Mis.

Did anyone notice that Lea Salonga got NO APPLAUSE when she sang "On My Own?" Why not? She was wonderful!

Philip Quast was excellent as usual... :)

I believe Cosette was played by Tammi Jacobs, but I am not 100% sure because she is not credited with any role in this. Also, Lea did get applause when she came out to sing for the "Miss Saigon" segement.

Thanks!

Is that the Cosette on the French Revival Cast?

I did a little bit of research on the actors listed for the song, and "Tammi Jacobs" was an understudy of Madame Thenardier, so she was probably playing Madame Thenardier in "One Day More." Thanks for your reply!

Marie Zamora actually plays Cosette in this. She can be heard on the Paris Revival cast!!!! :-)

Yeah, she got applause then. When she ended "On My Own," though, it seemed like the audience waited a long time and then clapped when Colm Wilkinson came out (therefore I think they were applauding him).

I think Lea Salonga got applause..I mean, how could she NOT get applause???
It's possible that the applause was just edited out for the dvd to save time and make the song transition look smoother or something something something..

But she definitely got applause from the audience watching from my couch!

I thought the girl playing Cosette was excellent, much better than the girl playing Cossete in the annivesary special of Les Mis.

She got applause when she came on, before starting the song, probably because they knew what she was going to sing... I don't know about after, although I seem to remember hearing applause. I know that the applause on the DVD was removed from a few parts, because I also have it on video, so I'll check, but she definitely got applause a few times.

Just saw this for the first time last night, and Salonga did get applause, but what happened was that as "On My Own" was ending, the orchestra segued immediately into the opening bars of Colm Wilkinson's following song (I believe "Bring Him Home") - the orchestra did not leave a break for applause, making it somewhat awkward. Applauding for Salonga would have cut off Wilkinson's entrance (or so it seemed). As was, the orchestra actually held the singing cue for Wilkinson until what applause there was stopped.

This is so odd I thought I was the ONLY person who watches cheesy musical dvds! I agree the cosette was way better in this show than in the 10th anniversary edition.

I always thought they didnt applause because hse held the note on and by the time she let go the music had started for the next song. there's no reason they deliberately wouldnt applaud her because she's amazing
and i for some reason prefer the 10th anniversary cossette to the one in this, but we dont hear that much of her so i cant tell for sure
