Why is De Niro the main actor?

I don't know if anyone else feels the same way, but why is Robert De Niro considered the "main actor" if he's only in half of the movie? Edward Burns should be the main and De Niro should be the supporting. Anyone else agree?

reply

I agree, but hey,DE Niro gets what De Niro wants...

reply

If he was listed as supporting people would probably see what's coming, this way it's more of a shock.

reply

I was so bummed to see he was killed off halfway through.

"Fra-gee-lay. That must be Italian."
"Uh, I think that says FRAGILE, dear."

reply

Him became killed though made the story take some thrilling turns so I was entertained still.

Marlon Brando got top billing for Superman even though he was on screen for about 10 minutes.

De Niro has a lot more commercial appeal than anybody else associated with the film. That's why he got top billing.

reply

Simply because he's Robert De Niro, the biggest name on the cast list, and they'll attract more viewers by giving him top billing and making sure everyone knows that he's in it. That and it's more surprising when he dies.

Because he is Robert Deniro you damn idiot.

Is this a real question?

And the purpose of killing the main actor was to shock us. Duh.
