DENIRO, WHY DID YOU DO IT?

I want to know why Robert DeNiro accepted to be in this film? It's sh*t. Probably one of his worst films ever. With DeNiro's high profile, I wonder why he decided to lower himself and lose people that have faith in him. Was it a favour? did he want to try other things 'cos he's at the top of his career and in a good position? was he blackmailed into doing it? I can't comprehend, please someone tell me why was DeNiro in this crap movie!

Maybe it's not his judgment that is suspect here.....

Well, De Niro has been in quite a few duds throughout his career. I'd imagine if you were making five million for a few weeks of location work that integrity wouldn't be much of an issue. 15 Minutes is one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life, and I have seen thousands.

That's totally your opinion, De Niro was just his usual brilliant self, in just an average film. I highly doubt it's about the money. You are also clearly wrong about your "integrity" remark, that's just silly.

I kind of agree with the previous poster (mojo91-583-780357) in his comment, ..'that just because Robert De Niro is in it, that doesn't mean that it's gonna be a good movie'. - yes precisely, De Niro is a great actor, one of the best, but not the best, (in my opinion), he's talented, but god, do people make such a meal of it. He can make crap just as regular as other actors. to me De Niro isn't a patch on the talent of Pacino, and poor Al has had more than his fair share of *beep* films.
15 Minutes is a good story premise, in it's theme and approach, but just poorly done all round, I personally didn't care for Ed Burns at all in this, he's a good actor too, just neither him or De Niro sold me on their characters.
It was for me, it was the excellent Mr. Kelsey Grammer, that was the redeeming performance

In short Lighten up!,
It;s an average to poor film, with average performances from good actors.

Completely agree.I enjoyed it. I knew it would be good. De Niro, Edward Burns? couldnt miss.
