This movie shows what USA is all about

...the good and the bad. The land where everything, good and bad, is so extreme as you can't see it anywhere else.

The only movie with De'Niro where his character gets killed in the middle of the story. That alone is indication that the movie was great.

One of the most underated films of the last 10 years i reckon along with Arlington Road

reply

Ya it was good. Arlington Road was almost good but it has a huge plot hole that ruins the suspense.

reply

I think it shows what how people not from the US, typically view us.

MORE COWBELL!

This movie's about money, power & artifice?
I dunno, I haven't seen it, but that's what I think America has become.

reply

This movie was no where near as good as you guys think it was, but I respect your opinions.

reply

I won't feed the nonsense above, and I don't respect those "opinions" either. Grow up.
And in regards to the actual MOVIE, it was too long. And not all that good to begin with.

"I dunno, I haven't seen it, but that's what I think America has become."

YOU are the exact definition of a TROLL...........what a douche bag - you come here and make some outlandish statements on America and it's culture - yet you haven't even watched the movie? Why are you here anyways? It makes no sense. If you want to spread BS propaganda, you can simply post a youtube video...but damn, you literally made some assumptions, on THIS movie forum, regarding America and we are suppose to take you seriously? Where do you come from? Do you live in a glass house or something? I am sure you live in the most wonderful place on earth after that kind of statement - I just want to know where THAT is.....

I think this movie is about interests of different sides, the media, its whores, who are feeding them, games, what people are capable of doing in order to reach what they want (money, power, to be the first in the game..), tricking the law, the rules, people etc... This film was very good presenting "the game" that most people play every day, that's why I liked it so much, it was very realistic to me, it showed how two-faced they can be, in the end some of them will fail (=die) too, even if you represent the good side (=de Niro's character). There is no guarantee for anyone to be there for you in the game or in the end... Oh, and it's not only about USA, but it's everywhere...

This movie is a complete Joke. America is nothing like this, and 90% of the stuff in this movie could not/would not have happened. It portrays the police as idiots, not providing protection to the people involved in a case, even after they have been targeted numerously. I really hope foreigners are not THAT stupid where they believe a story like this could actually take place in the US.

*beep* horrendous movie.
3/10
