Pilot Season
This movie spawned the Trio show "Pilot Season". Unfortunately they only made 6 eps. There have been rumors that Trio is in danger of being shut down. Please say it ain't so...
shareI heard DirecTV is dropping trio in 2005, which means a 2/3rd reduction in audience and the associated likelihood the owners NBC will scuttle the network entirely. too bad because it is one of the better channels on my Directv package.
this movie is great and so is the 6 episode followup. hysterical even. sophisticated ensemble storyline between the movie and the series. all in all a nearly sublime blend of exaggerated work/love archtypes in the new corporate dustbowl. probably too close to the bone for Hollywood and too far removed from Office Space or a Dilbert cartoon for the world outside of california or new york.
