I'm bi as well, and try as I might to come up with any kind of 'situation' that may have caused that to strengthen or blossom or something ... I can't. It's just me, so my root is also genetics.

Hee, good thread, even though obviously there are no "roots", as has been stated.

My root: being so tomboyish people thought I was male from age 8-13. I couldn't have been more obviously gay.
I didn't realise until my epic crush on Alyson Hannigan at the age of 11, though.
