Did She Win Parole Last Year Or Not?

I was wondering if she won parole last year, Does anyone know if she did or not?

reply

No, she's still in jail in North Carolina.

Just because she is eligible for parole, doesn't mean she will ever get it. She hasn't even been in jail for 10 years, and with the fact that she is suspected of killing her first husband, a fact that is still being investigated, I think it's unlikely that she will get out any time soon.

If you asked me, they should throw away the key on this one!

reply

Yeah I agree, Thanks for replying back

She is due for parole again in 2011 or 2012. She should stay in jail for murdering 2 men.

I'm watching the movie right now...from the beginning. I've already seen the ending. The movie is okay...good actors...but knowing it's a true story makes it sad and tragic. I remember very well seeing the story on "American Justice". I have to agree with the other posts...I hope they never release the real Barbara Sager. She'll only do it again.

I've just finished reading the book (my 3d time) I don't think she should ever be released, she was lucky the death sentence was overturned. I also re-watched the movie the other night. as you say It's ok, but it would have been better as
a mini-series, as was BITTER BLOOD. Along with Ann Rule, Jerry Bledsoe is top of the true crime writers. So would love to see this one done as a mini-series.
I love Jaclyn Smith, but thought she was much too beautiful for the role of
Barbara Stager, judging by pics of her she's (in my opinion anyway) very unattractive.

I recently saw the TV movie with Jaclyn Smith again and then just a couple of days ago, I saw the real story of Barbara Stager on (I think) American Justice (the show that Bill Kurtis hosts and narrates). She's one scary woman. And at the very end, it stated in an update that she was denied parole in 2009. I just cannot believe that she has no remorse for what she's done. And I agree with louiebee...Ms. Smith was good...but just too pretty to play the real killer.
