My favorite ending ever.

"Sweet Thing," by Van Morrison, is probably my favorite song of all time, so it makes it all that much better. I don't know why I love the ending so much...I thought the movie was okay, but when it got to the ending it was just amazing. I love the way everyone is getting closure, Joe by not feeling guilty about leaving, Jo by removing her daughter's stickers (I love how she hesitates when removing the sticker on the picture of Diana and her) and Bertie, by selling the bar and putting down her pictures of Cal. Even if we never find out what happened to Diana's killer, the ending seems so...complete.

And the best is how the three look up into the camera, and the sky, with such peace, and Joe and Bertie touch the "cielo" sticker. It's such a great, touching memory to Diana, and you just know they've found their little piece of heaven. Gets me every time.

Such a beautiful movie about dealing with Life, loss, love, grief, and moving on...

I agree, the ending was beautiful. Some of the movie had long moments that seemed to drag, but Jake was beautiful to look at, as was Sarandons performance as usual. I really liked the film.

Although Bertie will always be Merideth from Greys anatomy to me, lol
