Hi all. Just a quick question as to how old you think Joe and Bertie are? I'm thinking early twenties. Any other guesses?

Yeah, I guess they have to be. It's a little crazy because Gylenhaal was playing a High School Student in Donnie Darko which came out a year before. He was 22 when this movie was released.

Joe is 17 and Bertie is 30. Sorry, but that's what it really looked like. After checking, I found out Jake Gyllenhaal was 22 and Ellen Pompeo was 33.
