The ironic thing about this movie...

a film that sends up rural/non-innercity slum white kids that try to live the ghetto/hiphop lifestyle, has cameo apperances by a number of well selling rap stars, who've made their (vast) fortunes largely off the pocket-money of the very kids this movie seeks to lampoon. cant have it both ways dawgz. you are exactly right. very ironic.

thing is most of them on either side are too dumb to see it who they are, what they are doing, or who they really are. it's sad actually.

listen, i could go on for days on this topic. my signature pretty much sums up these people.

"You are literally too stupid to insult."

"Thank you."

having just seen this (finally), you're right. but I wonder if there's more to it? the film doesn't really disagree with the lifestyle of the Iowa locals in general... but it does disagree with taking it too far (Flip). using the slang and the clothes and the music is fine... but everyone but Flip seemed to still be rooted in reality. Flip needed a wakeup call. He got several, but ignored them until it was almost too late. He lucked out.
