Because he looked exactly like him.

It also makes the movie funnier if you think of Flip as Peyton Manning. I could just imagine him acting like that.

it was Danny Hooch u can see it in the cast. They do look simialr though

Yep, it was Danny Hoch - an idiot if there ever was one. I read an interview of his a while back, and according to him everyone in America is afraid to speak their minds because Bush is going to bomb them... Ah well, he was alright in Black Hawk Down at least.

I was just making a joke regarding Hoch's uncanny resemblance to Peyton Manning. I realize that Peyton Manning wasn't really in this movie.

Yea, it was Peyton Manning, but instead of playing for The Colts he just drank Colt 45 malt liquor.
