The music

There is some really beautiful music this film. I especially am intrigued by the use of the Glass Armonica. Really different.

It's a FANTASTIC film score!!!!!

I'd LOOOVE a hard copy CD of this but right now it's going for $80 ($54 used) on amazon.com.

You can buy the digital album for $9.99 but I like to have the physical copy (with the album booklet)... I just don't want to pay $80 for it! :(

I was watching some old VHS tapes and came across a tv spot trailer for this movie. Can anyone tell me if the techno music in the tv trailer from 1999 is in the movie anywhere? I like it, but it not classical music at all - it is very modern techno of some sort. The trailer I am referring to is 27-28 seconds long and the main character from the movie says "I'm a wild beast" and "Which gentlemen am I to have the pleasure of making love to?" It is narrated by a very common male trailer narrator. Please help if anyone knows what music I am referring to.

Although I do love period movies such as this, I've yet to see one whose score is of the same period. (Amadeus aside!) They always seem to tailor the music to the audience rather than to the reality of the time period being portrayed.
This was supposed to take place in 1806. The music played on the harp plus the soundtrack was closer to the end of the 19th century. The music during the ball was closer to correct.
