More movies about the 60s?

I recommend "The dreamers" by Bertolucci, "The Doors" by Oliver Stone and "May fools" by Louis Malle. Can you recommend more movies on the 60s? Thanks in advance...

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but for the few of us that apparently liked this film, I would recommend the Sidney Lumet films of the 80s 'Daniel' and 'Running On Empty' as well as a recent German film with the English title 'Edukators'. All deal with active student protest. A character study type film made in the period about the late 60s protests that I find very interesting is 'Getting Straight'.

edit: Also just saw 'Waking The Dead' with Billy Crudup and Jennifer Connelly which also reminded me of this type film although not much of a student protest story. It is partly set in the early 70s about a young adult haunted by the death of a loved one. These are tough films to pull off and I think both IC and WTD at least partially succeed.

These will help you immerse yourself in the Sixties:
Breezy
Blowout
The Graduate
Hideous Kinky
Hair (musical)
To Sir, With Love
Butterflies Are Free
The Boat That Rocked
The Harrad Experiment
The Pursuit of Happiness
The Strawberry Statement
I Love You, Alice B. Toklas

"Woodstock" (documentary) is great after all these years!

The Best movies about the Sixties were made in the Sixties. It's hard enough to capture an era at that time; it's far more difficult to recreate it. Very few moments of "The Invisible Circus" seem to evoke the time period.
