WHAT IS UP WITH THE AFFAIR BETWEEN PHOEBE AND WOLF?? WHY DIDN'T THEY STAY TOGETHER.. WHY WOULD YOU GET TOGETHER WITH YOUR DEAD SISTER'S EX. ??

The movie did a horrible job conveying what Jennifer Egan did in the book. It was a little creepy and a lot sad that Phoebe slept with Wolf. But they did it because they both wanted Phoebe to be Faith. Phoebe wanted to be beautiful and mysterious, not to mention her father's favorite, and Wolf wanted the Faith he fell in love with, the Faith who didn't jump off that cliff. The book is absolutely beautiful. I'd read it over and over again, if I could get it back from my own sister :)

I feel as though it was a spur of the moment happening. It made the movie whole much more exciting.

because it was just that, an affair.
He was already in love anyway,and she was young, the beauty of the movie is that we longed for it not to end.

I didnt read the book and dont find Christopher Eccleston the least bit attractive, so unlike you the whole time I was watching it I kept thinking 'Jesus please dont let them get together' it was so creepy and awkward when they did I had to close my eyes. Not that Im a prude or not into that sort of thing (quiet the opposite actually) but it just didnt work for me. Was a bit gross If im honest.

No purpose other than gratuitous sex. Served no purpose other than to make "Wolf" a two bit cheat thought he had been shown some character up to that point. Cheapened the entire movie.
