Going by the board, this show seems to have a lot of female fans.
sci fi normally has a more male fanbase.
what is it about this show that makes it more universal, if my observation is correct.
I'm a guy, but my best friend is a girl and she's just as obsessed with Lexx as I am.

Which is probably one of the many things the
creators watched when young.
There is some great sci fi in the 1950s, like the outer limits.
Plus all the films, not least of which Plan 9 from Outer Space.
I love Lost In Space very much and I love some sci-fi films from the 50s and 60s but I think the 70s had the most unique sci-fi movies!
shareNo, it wasn't inspired by Lost In Space. The creators of Lexx were far more twisted than that. Lexx was inspired by the fact that most people don't get what they want. That's the philosophy behind Lexx.

I'm female and I love watching sci fi including Lexx. I also love fantasy. I enjoy escaping from real every day stuff.
