Was 'Bad Carrots' a homage to Killer Tomatoes?

I've just seen the episode 'Bad Carrots' when I realised that it seemed to be giving a generous nod to the so-bad-its-good 'Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes' movie.

Much of the whacky comedy and heavily stylized madcap fun of the whole Lexx saga does seem to bare the same vibes and tones of those sorts of endearingly silly B movies from the 70s. I wonder if the writers are making thier tribute and having fun playing on B movie cinema tropes, it does seem likely.

One thing for sure is there's much of the colourfulness and zaniness and OTT-ness which I enjoy.

I think it's a strong possibility, if there wasn't intentional parallels then its a spooky cioncidence.

I actually would encourage Lexx fans to give Killer Tomatoes a try if it happened to be on the telly one night. The style, spirit and campy B Movie fun is like a precursor to what Lexx was all about!

Actually, it was meant to be an homage or nod to all the space alien probes that supposedly take place when people are taken by aliens. Probed, get it? Anal probes.

Bored now.
