1. Could someone describe the scene after the credits? I missed it.

2. Was there a point to the guy that the author is telling the story to a cop at the end? It seemed like that was supposed to be some sort of "reveal," but I didn't get it.

It just showed Violet, in the back of a fancy car, with her finger to her lips like "shhhhh". In other words, she was still alive and faking it... but we don't know if Emma died for sure in that elevator or not.
