I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!

I love this movie. I'm seeing it again for like the 5th time and I'm picking some more things up. It's really weird. But I LOVE THIS MOVIE! It's so good. Who else loves this movie?

"This is what I get. Blood, death and funky smells." "You and I have unfinished business."

me too. :-)

I saw it in the month of July. And did not learn of the title until after seeing it. Once I knew, it seemed even more perfect. I saw it with chinese subtitles, which i don't understand. A german speaker translated occasional parts.

The events in the movie were well laid out, i followed the story without difficulty. The ending lost me, until the german translated - I thought it was too many coincidences, but still acceptable.

I was travelling at the time i saw it, and the story seemed to reflect all my experiences on the road, from meeting people, to crossing borders, to drugs, love, urgency, being broke, everything. It seemed like the movie was made for me and based on my travels...

you're right, it's wonderful... I watch it whenever I get depressions in winter. I see the sun and want to immediately sit down and go to turkey...

I LOVE IT! :D

miriam, go to turkey, even though this movie wasn't about turkey at all really, go to turkey if you have the chance ever to do so in your lifetime. I spent one month there in 1998 and it was the trip of a lifetime. it is like climbing mount everest then going on a kiddy hike of half a mile to a small lake on pavement. once you go to turkey, every trip after that is a huge anti-climax.

I absolutely loved this movie, being a dude who loves football and beer and all those manly things, this movie was one of the best romantic movies I have ever seen period. and I just loved the trippyness of it, the music, the drugs, the live and let live attitude to life. it made me so much wish to be young again. when I was in turkey, I met a woman who was just like the crazy woman in the big van/truck thing who spiked his coke with drugs, then danced for him and ripped him off. my gal didn't quite rip me off as in stealing from me, but her beauty caused me to just give her money cause I had this nutty idea that I could help her, save her from her life of crime and chaos, but in the end, that's what she wanted, just like the gal in the movie, who proudly showed off her handcuffs when she was arrested.

This is a must see romance/comedy movie. It is very well acted by
Moritz Bleibtreu (Daniel) and Christiane Paul (July). Christiane Paul
is a very talented actress, and I am very impressed how she played her
role. Her smile is so enlightening beautiful, it is so irresistible.
Arguably, she carried the whole movie.

Since I don't speak German, I read the subtitles. I think the dialogs
are great. The theme to this movie is just marvelous. It is about
destiny of two individuals. It is so true, that sometimes we go thru life seeking that person who makes us special and yet not knowing that person is just right in front of us.
The story is about Daniel, a nerdy type of person who has very little
success with the opposite sex, was sold a ring of a sun by July who
thinks that Daniel is the man of his life. She told him by wearing this
ring he will meet the woman of his life. This woman also wears the same
sun as his ring. She just missed Daniel at a block party. Her dream was
shattered and now wants to leave town. Juli's destiny was that the first car that picks her
up will take her wherever the wind will take her. Of course Juli was
shocked when she was picked up by Daniel who by this time was
infatuated with a girl who has just left for Turkey. Thus, the
adventure and relationship began. As the adventure commenced, one will
notice the personalities of these two individuals. On numerous
instances, Daniel revealed his selfish characteristics who only care
about chasing his dream. On the other hand Juli was a very
understandable type of person. She was not discouraged by Daniel's
lack of interest in her in the beginning. Slowly, she nurtured him and
even helped him to achieve his dream.
Unfortunately, this movie didn't gain much recognition in the U.S. I
read one of the person who posted his reply that this movie was removed after being shown
in the theaters for three days. Sadly, we Americans are so snobbish of
foreign films just because the dialogs are in foreign language.
