My favourite 'game' ever

And I've been a big games fan since the days of the Commodore 64. Grim Fandango is not just a game, it's one of the closest things that I've seen so far to creating a successful merge of a film/narrative and a game. It's a work of art, simply because it is so far above and beyond simple 'video games' by excelling in the the areas that are essential to literature, films and so on - advanced, complex, wonderful writing and story - dialogue and a script that is of a better quality than the majority of movies and books, exceptional voice acting (easily the equal of voice-over films such as Toy Story etc, but made all the more commendable due to the nature of the delivery), original, memorable and iconic stylisation, and characters, themes and ideas which you care about, that have symbolism, depth, issues, and a LOT of humour. It's just breathtaking.

There, I've gushed enough, If you're reading this and don't have this game, get it at all costs. Thankyou.
