Would be kickass. If Tim Burton directed it (though not with Johnny Depp as the lead, he's overrated nowadays) it would be awesome.

The existence of a script was announced about 2 years ago, but no further confirmations have been made.

IF they ever make one, they'd better do it either in CG or similar to Nightmare Before Christmas (art style I mean, not the musical scenes lol). And USE THE SAME VOICE ACTORS!!! No live action please.

oh god, please. not tim burton. I really like some of his stuff but he's way overrated. and the worst thing about it, everyone who's not familiar w/ the game would think it was all burtons work, or burton was involved in the game making.

ANYWAY I just brought this topic up in a youtube comments section... wouldn't it be awesome if Laika studios (Coraline) would turn GF into a movie (a truly epic movie)? Imagine everything Grim Fandango handcrafted and brought to life with stop motion...
all they need are good writers and a good director... and they'd be ready to go.

I hope someone from Laika reads this. lol.
