question about end (SPOLIER)

I have a question...when I watched this film, I got the definite impression that Musset had committed suicide after learning of Sand's infidelities. But I read that Musset really died of a heart condition. Did anyone else get the feeling that suicide was implied in the film?

Not at all. He's not the type of person who'd commit suicide for his current or former lover's alleged infidelities - he'd rather continue living and torturing her for that. Breaking up and thus putting an end to that excrutiation was the best he could do considering this character's nature.
