This movie is crying out to be remade!

I see Bruce Willis as Dickson, the tough-as-nails-but-more-sensitive-than-he-lets-on inventor/violin player, with Tom Hanks and Tony Shaloub as his carefree, witty and droll asssistants.

Add an evil and vindictive Thomas Edison (played by Alan Rickman), desperate to get his hands on all film-related patents in any way he can, and a sweet-and-sassy female lead (played by Zooey Deschanel), and you've got a can't-fail Blockbuster hit!
