What is it with this show and pastors?

Every other episode, one, if not both, of the families contains either a pastor, or a "pastor's wife." Is that in the application requirements now?

It's because Steve Harvey is so into the church because he got saved! 🙏🙌
It's always the same thing with this show one of the reason I went from watching it regulary to once in a blue moon.

You have a point there. Almost all the show's contestants have the same formula: a pastor or teacher contestant; Black family vs. White family; a big mama; a black family singing ole negro spirituals; cute black girl Harvey tries to set up with his son; someone wearing a Steve Harvey tie; that one contestant at the end giving out the craziest answers. It's like a drinking game with this show.

It's Steve Harvey shoveling that Christian mumbo jumbo into our livings rooms. I try to ignore most of that "spreading the gospel" attempts.



I'm a Christian, but I honestly would much rather just watch the classic episodes. It was straight game playing with fun also. A lot of the families now, mostly black act like they're in church. And Steve acts like he's holier than thy, HA! Listen to how much cursing and insulting he do on his radio show.

If the coloreds are so into their church, why are they living lives filled with illegitimate kids and crime?
