what do you guys think...Do you agree somewhat that it has possibly the greatest theme ever heard in video games of all time? I'm referring to the theme you hear in all the daylight stages..like world 1 stage 1.
Street Fighter's theme probably comes in second.

I agree with you helltopay. I'm going to say that this THE most recognizable video game theme song. Legend of Zelda and the original Donkey Kong are close behind it.

The Super Mario theme is one of the most reconizable. You could could have it as a ring tone, play it on the piano, hum it under you're breath and anyone would recognize it. I personally like the underwater theme (the Mario Bros. 2 story screen's my favorite) the most, but I like them all.

I see alot of negative reviews for Wizards & Warriors, mostly for the music and sound effects. I think they're killer! Very unusual (but super) sfx, great music, great colors, great game.
I'd also list the themes for the Metroid, Castlevania, and Legend of Zelda series as some of the best of all time.

While definitely the most recognizable, I wouldn't even put it close to greatest, it's kind of cheesy. Even among 8-bit titles, there are multiple Mega Man and Castlevania themes that are superior.
