still the best game..

I think this one is still the best of all, and LTTP is the second best.
Probably because the simplicity of it, it's easy to get lost in the adventure, where in all the other games especially the 3d games thier about puzzle solving which is good some times but othey over do it and the puzzle over shadows the adventure.
this game though it's all about the adventure and has enough puzzles to solve without acually hunting for the answers, in most cases you have the answeres already, you just have to recall it.

which is why I declare that some times simplicity is best.

Well, sometimes simplicity is best. And sometimes it´s crap. I never got Zelda. No plot, unoriginal and silly. Music was good though, I´ll give it that...

"*beep* Mickey Mouse. *beep* him in the *beep* with a big rubber dick!"

Oh yeah, without a doubt, this was the best game in the series.

I think that Link To The Past, while good, wasn't as great as everybody makes it out to be. I can't even explain why, but it's just not as good. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, while radically different from the original, is still a game that I liked a lot.

But there was, is, and always will be something very special about that original game... like when we opened it on Christmas Day over 20 years ago... boy, those were good times.

The later games in the series (the last one I played was the one on Gamecube), all seem to spend too much time showing off their graphics and detailed plot threads... games on the NES were pound-for-pound, the best GAMES ever. Nothing else, before or after, comes close.
