I'm a little confused about the rape. First, did Derrick rape Naomi back in high school? I think he did but i just want to make sure. Second, did he rape her the night of the party? I know he said he raped her twice but until I read post on here I took it to mean he raped her in high school, and then with this rumor violated her a second time. Jones even says he used them to rape her again, but if he really raped her at the party, Jones and Travis would not be needed. I just would like to know if there is a concrete answer to this.

I think that there is no concrete answer. Even when the truth does come out it's not definite as to when. I think the whole idea of the movie is that you can't trust words. As even gets pointed out in posts on this board. Words expressed in the movie can have double meanings and thus the truth gets lost to interpretation. And then there are the words that were just straight up gossip. And that leaves any truths that are actually said to be maybe not believed because of all the gossip and interpretations that are already out there.

I don't think the second rape is a sexual rape- it's a rape of the mind- making her think she was raped by her new boyfriend. or that he raped her reputation.

He admitted to the rape in highschool, but I don't remember him admitting to any rape after that.
