Why isn't pikachu level Infinity.....

Its been 13 years almost. I got pikachu to level 100 in 6 months of casual play in pokemon yellow. Pikachu and all of Ashs original pokemon should be dominating everyone on that show!!!

Well let see, Pikachu is probably one of his toughs Pokemon but unlike games and stuff this a story movement. The reason Pikachu isn't a poke-god the person or persons writing the series do not wish to imbalance the show so they have Ash leave past season Pokemon behind when he goes on new journey or they go they separate ways claiming they will always be friends. An it seems it allot harder to gain experience in the show to grow stronger because based off of the moves Pikachu us he either lvl 45 at lowest or lvl 50 at the highest because he get defeat in battle from time to time .

Wouldn't some of the adult trainers (who have been training their pokemon for 10, 20, 50+ years) be even stronger than Pikachu? For example, I remember Pryce who was the gym leader of Mahogany Town, saying that he has trained with his pokemon for over fifty years!!! Despite this, Pryce's Dewgong was defeated by Ash's Cyndaquil (which Ash had been training for like a few weeks).

Do they ever talk about pokemon levels in the show? I just assumed they didn't exist in the tv show, but did in the game just so you knew your pokemon was growing.

However I remember in the first season Brock talked about Pickachus level? But nothing ever since I think.

There was an episode, I think it was called school of hard knocks. Ash visits the Pokemon school where you can learn to battle to enter the league instead of fighting gyms. Pikachu fights a cubone in it and makes funny faces. Anyways, somewhere in that episode, one of the people at that school says Ash's Pikachu should be at least level # (i don't remember)

Same reason why Ash is still 10. =S

i remember a episode in the 1st pokemon season where they were talking about how pikachu should be level 25 or something, i would need to look back...

^the school of hard knocks

The girl (i think her name was Giselle) said that after being on a journey for two months Pikachu should be level 25

That's the reason why Pikachu always gets beaten in the current seasons. Pikachu's level is so high that it's a casual subject of the Worf effect (Pika's always getting beaten by the newly introduced Pokemon). And as for Ash's age, he should be 24, I think he got "locked" after getting shocked by Pikachu so many times.

Ash's internal battery has run dry, time based events will no longer occur

Now that's a good one!!!

Seeing as how, in the show, the Pokemon are able to dodge by merely the trainer saying the word "dodge", after every move; makes me think that the game is very different. Think about how long the battle would be "in game", if you could just tell your Pokemon to dodge and the opposing computer player did the same thing, after every move.

The show and the game do not follow the same logic and I highly doubt the trainers, on the show, have a list of moves to choose from neither.
