Need help finding the name of a play

Hello,
I saw a play a number of years ago, I'm sure on American Playhouse, about two adults who decide to divorce when their own children are grown adults. The divorce is amicable. but the children have a very hard accepting their parents' decision. The play is about them telling the children about their decision, the reaction of the children, and them all working it out and if I recall correctly, coming to a mutual understanding. Any ideas as to the name of the play and the playwright would be appreciated. Thanks
