Why would Luc be involved?

Isn't it just a little bit odd that Luc would choose to involved with a Unisol project, using and abusing dead soldiers as was done to him, when he's living proof that they can be brought back and live a normal life?

I remember him saying something about it's better to use dead soldiers then risk killing living ones, but that obviously a cop-out to answer the question I just asked. A much more consistent solution (IMHO) would have been the Military (or whoever) to have invited him to join the project but he refused, then it all goes wrong, then he reluctantly joins on the condition they terminate the project, and spends the rest of the movie saying "I told you so" and/or "If only I'd joined at the start, then none of this would have happenned" etc etc.

Just a thought... maybe a bit like Ripley's motivation in Aliens, but still..

(Oh, and after he beats SETH, the Military would freeze him, wipe his memory and turn him back into a Unisol... bwaahaaahaah)

I think he’s basically there to keep the people in charge honest. He knows that they’ll find a way to do it without him so he figures if he’s involved he can see to it that the soldiers being brought back are treated better than he and the initial versions were.

The fact that the new generation are more human (not that it turned out to be a good thing) is proof of that.

Of course even though this was an enjoyable film to switch off your brain too, in the end they were out to make a quick buck so I doubt they put much though into it.

Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence.

He did seem to get along with the new Unisols very well after the opening seen. It looked like he was there friend. It was just implied because after that is when things went bad.

I think the better question to ask would be if in the future, they have the ability to take someone who has been dead for close to 30 years and turn him back into a living breathing human who can conceive children, why are they wasting time with this whole Unisol program? I mean, who cares at that point? They just brought a guy that's over 60 years old back to life and he looks and acts like a 30 year-old. You'd think being a bullet-riddled corpse for 30 years would slow him down some.
