the freakest character in the game

It's not damn Smethells. It's the damn woman who keeps shouting and yelling at you
at the beginning of the game.

'When will I get ma money! When!'

'They said you are important. Not now, you are just old and broke!'

'Sneackin out? That won't be funny!'

was she alright when the explosion destroyed her house?

reply

Hadn't thought of that... guess we have to leave that one up to the fanfiction writers. :)

reply

Yeah she scared me but its...

"Sneckin' Out are ya? I want me money!"

reply

Probably... Rev. Edgar Trout.

*grabs microphone* DEEP HURTING! DEEP HURTING!

reply

DEFINATELY TROUT.

the first time i played this game in about first grade (now in 9th) i clicked on the hall way going to the scotland road and he was jsut standing there and i screamed. he is SO freaking scary

reply

I remember when Vlad creeped me out. Willie did aswell.

reply

Trout. Everytime. He speaks in that monotone voice and pops out of nowhere. Ick.

I'm sure the producers of the game finally realised after it was released certain parts of the game were un intetionally scary. The games characters are all stop/go photography with their voices dubbed in which naturally is slightly freaky giving them all puppet like personalites. On B deck there is a long hallway corridor that contains the 1st class staterooms, I havent played the game in like 8 years but If I remember there is a 3rd class passanger simply wandering around looking as if he is in a LSD induced trip LOL, so year thats somewhat scary even though he is not an interactive character.

reply

Second Class Stairs music + Reverend Troutt = Me not sleeping.

Eleven year old me + overexcited at finally finding the Rubiyat (took me forever to get in the wireless room) + zooming right past Vlad without talking to him + grabbing the Rubiyat + seeing Vlad's eyes and getting shot = Me nearly having a panic attack.

And the Scotland Road/Cargo Hold music creeped me out and made me feel like someone was waiting for me in there. And then.. HOLY CRAP IT'S JACK. He's a good guy, but damn.

reply

Vlad fosho is the creepiest.

he would like tilt his head and his eyes would get all creepy.

eeccchhh and i had to play the whole game with the music/sfx off not just cause it was scary, but cause of the consant annoying repetititve screaming when the ship went down

reply

Trout scares the crap out of me. Everything about him does. I'm 26 and he still scares me. Is that stupid? lol

When you change someone else's life, you change your own.

reply

lol i know who your talking about, i used to follow him and he would just go in circles lol

reply

I remember the first time I got the Rubaiyat I wasn't aware that you had to put it in another coal chute and after a few seconds rejoicing that I had finally found it, I went up the stairs only to be shot by Vlad. My hands literally turned ice cold... :-(

reply

Yeah Vlad haha I was trying to move around and he just popped up

reply

I totally agree with you. My father bought this game in "96 and to this day, I still think Rev. Trout is the creepiest.

reply

LOL! I must say smethells was pretty freaky! But Trout did make me jump! So did the gorse-jone's! I had to let my brother play the part where willie is electrocuted in the turkish bath! Didn't like it one bit! The music from D-Deck onwards is very haunting!

reply

The Gorse-Jones's and Trout freaked me out. I also didn't like Lord Lambeth simply because he looked like the most boring person ever.

But Vlad probably freaked me out the most... especially when he hits you with a wrench!!

There is no dark side of the moon, really. Matter of fact, it's all dark.

reply

Vlad is frightening. His eyes almost looked...red sometimes.

i wish the ring had never come to me.

reply

After Vlad killed me when I took the Rubaiyat and never transferred it to another chute it took over a year before I could play the game again.

HE WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SCARY! :-o

reply

Troutt. But one time recently, the Gorse Jones snuck up on me and made me scream...I felt like a donkey. :)

Guess what? I rule, you suck. The end. Big suprise, huh?

I found it really freaky in the 1st Class reception scene when you're talking to Colonel Zeitel and he says 'Stay away from German business'. His facial expressions are scary! :-(

reply

OMG YEAH!

I hate seeing Colonel Zeitel standing anywhere, it just scares me. Like...shouldn't you be doing Nazi stuff?

Vlad's last name is Demonic. That's creepy.

i wish the ring had never come to me.

reply

1st Class Reception was a scary place. The music in 2nd Class scared the *beep* out of me as well. Can't think of a character who did it, though.

reply

LMAO @ "Like...shouldn't you be doing Nazi stuff?"

Sorry, I just read that in a ditzy valley girl voice in my head and it cracked me up.

"Well, if it isn't my old friend Mr. McGreg, with a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg!"

reply

I had issues with Smethells. He was so freakin weird. But Vlad really freaked me out the first time I played because when I found the Rubaiyat he shot me! And then he also killed Sasha... But I agree, Reverand Trout is freaky too.

How about a shave?

reply

Wow, awesome to see this old game get some love.

Troutt for me. Did anyone here get to see him totally lose it and start laughing? If you haven't, you don't know what you're missing.

I loved this game. Played it a ton back when it came out. It's been YEARS since I've played it, so I forget who was who at times, but I loved it;

reply

Oh gosh yes.

he appears out of nowhere and just goes YAH!!!!!

reply

LOL!!!!!!!

Yeah, that was scary.
