I loved this film!

The Czechoslovakian New Wave at its best. I'll have to see it a couple more times to get it all, since the disjointed cuts and my attention span are at odds with each other, and there is so much symbolism. I couldn't take my eyes off the film, which presented a problem when I needed to pee (I saw this on TV). The cinematography is stunning, atmospheric and zen. The script is minimalist, as the predominant reliance is on images.
