I've lost people before, so when I care about someone I plant a tracking device on them.
I just figured Tom Cruise drop-kicked one of them, which is way funnier an image than a dog dying from poisoning.

shareI fell asleep for 20 minutes and missed what happened to the dog. I honestly assumed Frank just dropped kicked the dog since he does forewarn Phil multiple times. At the same time though I realized that would have been WAY too mean spirited. Animal lovers would have a field day if this happened and start trashing the whole movie.
